This page presents just some of the buildings of heritage, historical and other importance to Moree. At the top is the town hall. Below this are two photograph's of Mehi Cottage, an example of a the typical slab huts of the first settlers to the area. Sadly this wonderful icon was recently destroyed by fire caused, it is believed, by vandals. The photographs remain on the site for people to see what this wonderful cottage once looked like.
Next is a fine example of Edwardian architecture in a building now housing the Moree Club. The Catholic, Anglican and Presbyterian Churches are buildings of significance to the town.
The Moree Hotel is found on the eastern entrance of Moree (on the Gwydir Highway) and is one of the earlier hotels of the town that is still used as a hotel.
The remaining photographs are the Moree Courthouse, the Moree Plains Gallery (formally the CBC Bank Building) and the superbly restored Department of Lands Building.
