My name is Rosina Uriarte and I have been very pleased and surprised to see myself on your website in a picture taken in 1975!!!
This is the link to the photo:
I´m the second girl counting from the right, in the front row.
I attended Bonshaw Public School from 1972 to 1976. My brother went to this school with me too, he is two years younger (we were born in 1965 and 1968).
Our names are Rosina and Javier Uriarte.
We now live in Spain, since 1976.
We have very good and pretty memories of our years at Bonshaw School!
In the picture you have I can remember some of the children in the pic. Just in case you need the names, and if it is possible for me to say hello to some of them in some way, here are the ones I can recall (I appologise for the possible mistakes in their names):
- from left to right in the fron row: ?, number 2 is Nadia Zappa (I think), Lisa Stewart, Cindy Everett, Peggy Mc. Cosker, (me), ?
- from left to right in the rear row: I can only remember the boy at the end, he´s name is Paul Acqualini.
And the teacher was Mr. Everett I think.
I will send some photos, I´m very sorry that none of them might be suitable for your webpage for only one is of a group at school, but was badly damaged in the floods in February, 1976.
Anyhow, you might find them interesting.
In the picture of Ashfords Sports day, my brother and I are ready in our sport uniforms.
In the pic thast says "At lunch..." I´m at the back with Jennifer Nichols (or Mac Nichols).
In the group photo, our teacher was Miss Nichols. I´m the third in the front row starting from the right. On my left is Lisa Stewart (my best friend) and Jennifer Mac Nichols. At the left end is Karen Scott, and the third from the left is Peggy Mac Cosker.
In the second row, from the left, the first is Julia (I don´t remember her surname), the sixth one is Paul Acqualini, James ?, Stephen Williams and Nadia Zappa.
At the back is Darren Stewart, Peter Barry, ?, my brother Javier, ... and at the end Ricky Strangalini and Michael Angelo.
Thank you very much for such a wonderful idea of publishing these old photos. I hope more old students send pictures.
Goodbye and best wishes from Spain!!
