RAILWAY INFORMATION

Local councils do have some information about communities located within their boundaries. You can access this information through the Local Council site through the link found on Local Information Section of this site.

WOLLOMOMBI Tourism

Like most small rural villages in Australia, Wollomombi is the centre of activity. Located on The Waterfall Way, it lies some 38Km from Armidale.

This little community has, however, much to offer the visitor. Just a couple of kilometers to the west of Wollomombi is the turnoff to the famous Wollomombi Falls.

Access to the Wollomombi Falls

These falls are one of the highest falls in Australia and offer some spectacular views. The Wollomombi Gorge is one of the most rugged around and trekking across the gorge should only be done by experienced persons.

A number of events occur throughout the year that attract visitors from all over the place. In march each year there is the annual rodeo and in October, the village runs its annual Wood Expo.

If you know of a local tourist site that is located in this community but is not listed here, please Email us (using the button at the bottom of this page) and let us know the details, including the community to which you are referring.
