THE WOOD EXPO GALERY POST CUTTING GALLERY HAY STACKING RACE GALLERY |
From the moment you turn off to the Sports Ground where the sign announces the Wood Expo, all aspects point to the festivities of the day. The programme gets under way around 10am and goes through until "very late", shifting from the sports ground late in the afternoon to the village centre to carry on into the night. | ||
In this event, the contestants have to cut a single log into five wooden fence posts using a chain saw and wedges and then be the first to finish the task

The object of the Hay Stacking Race is to see how many bales high a team of three people can stack in three minutes. The rules are fairly simple. Everyone must be doing something all the time and there can only be three bales of hay on each row.
