Thunderbolt's Grave
Captain Thunderbolt's bushranging territory ranged from around the top of the Murrurundi Range all the way to the Queensland border with items of interest to be found all along the area.

Uralla has adopted this historical character as he is buried in the Old Cemetery in the town. His grave is kept in good condition by the people of Uralla.

To the south of the town, Thunderbolt's Rock (top right) is located just off the New England Highway. Folk Lore has it that he used this rock as a hiding place to ambush his victims.

At the junction of the New England Highway and the Walcha Road, a bronze statue has been erected to mark his presence.

His grave is shown in the picture at the top left whilst the next pair of photographs show different sides of the statue
