These photographs, taken during, 2006, give the visitor a glimpse of the Tingha where past and present meet in harmony.
Many of the buildings in the centre of the township date back to the late 19th century and early 20th century. Standing alongside these are more modern structures that have been tastefully deployed into the town over the years. A drive around Tingha, also allows the visitor to see the many relics of its mining past. Buildings are often renovated and restored in the town to keep with it's heritage look. One example of this is the Red Rose Cafe (bottom right) refurbished in full heritage style (inside as well as out) and reopened in late September, 2006. |
