Located on the Wollomombi to Kempsey Road some 50Km from Wollomombi, the best access route.

This eucalypt and rainforest National Park contains a wide variety of plant growth associated with the rugged country around its location. The steep slopes of the area are typical of the drop from the New England Plateau to the river system that drains into the Macleay River and on in to the sea.
