Niangala Tourism

Lying on the Great Dividing range, at approximately 1300 mtres above sea level, Niangala is to be found on the south eastern corner of the New England Tablelands. Acess to the community requires travel along some stretches of dirt road, which can be quite dangerous in wet or snow weather.

Winter can see the village transformed into what could almost be described as a winter wonderland, with snow a common feature of the winter months.

Industry fo the area is mostly sheep and cattle, though other diversified industries, particularly berry and herb farming are to be found alng with extensive pine plantationsthat supplt the local timber mill.

Trout fishing is a popular tourist atrtraction in the Niangala area and a visit to the area will reveal som magnificent scenery.
