Glen Innes Town Hall
There are a large number of historic buildings within and around the township of Glen Innes. The town hall (on the left), the court house (on the right), the Chapel Theatre (below left), the railway station (below centre) and the St Joseph's Convent (below right) are just five fine examples.

Location of Balancing Rock
To the south of Glen Innes lies an interesting geological phenomenon. The Balancing Rock, located approximately 200 metres off the New England Highway, appears to defy the laws of nature as it stands the test of time.

This is one of the many natural sites to be seen in the district. Mineral deposits are also a major feature of the town with fossiking being a major industry. For further details see the Minerama pages, accessed from the Community Page.
