The Heritage Park is a feature of the history of Boomi. On the Saturday, a prominent feature of the park was dedicated. This contained two items, a restored horse drawn wool cart owned by the Sullivan family and a steam engine owned by the Burling family. The dedication of these items is shown in the photographs as follws
1. Harry Adams (MC of events) introducing Mike Montgomery (Moree Plains Shire Council Mayor)
2. Then Ian Alexander filled in some history of the village
3. Lynnete Morris (nee Sullivan) spoke on behalf of her family
4. Followed by Wilfred Burling on behaf of his family
5. Lynette and Wilfred then unveiled the plaque
6. The Wool Cart
7. The Stem Engine
8. The plaques
9. Above the items are three large boards that are to contain all the livestock brands of the district.

10. On the Sunday afternoon, Marge Ruttley officially opened the Heritage Park on behalf of her family, original aboriginal inhabitants of the area.
