HISTORICAL TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
Historical attractions in and around Armidale include:
- Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place
- HERITAGE WALK: A 3km walk around the city centre with 29 points
of historical interest to be seen.
- HERITAGE DRIVE: A 25Km Drive around the historical sites of the city.
- MUSEUMS: There are a number of different museums located throughout
the city and in surrounding areas, many devoted to specific subjects.
- HISTORICAL HOMESTEADS: These include SAUMAREZ HOMESTEAD, located
just a few kilometres south of Armidale and BOOLOOMIMBAH, located
in the grounds of the University of New England.

RURAL TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
The region is a very rich agricultural area and there are a number
of farmstay places to visit as well as tours through the rural areas.
The Hillgrove Mine, east of Armidale is a popular visitors spot and, whilst in Hillgrove, visit the
Hillgrove Rural Life and Industry Museum.
